2025 Conference Highlights

Check out the photos and quotes below that capture the excitement and spirit of the 2025 Housing California Conference, held in Sacramento, California, March 5-7.

“The movement to solve homelessness and create affordable places for all Californians to live is growing stronger every day, and we are at an inflection point where solidarity and resolve are necessary to create that future. This convening comes at the right time and the right place for those who care about statewide housing justice to strengthen alliances, expand our leadership capacity, and hold the collective vision of a California with vibrant, healthy, thriving communities for every single one of us.”

Chione Flegal | Housing California Executive Director

“There were many great aspects of the Conference to choose from (Advocacy Day, seeing and greeting many friends and colleagues…), but if I had to pick just one it would be the 2025 Housing Justice Awards. I say this because we typically celebrate our wins, but rarely do we take the time to honor and celebrate those who are doing the work. It was so heartwarming to see people being given their flowers for all their contributions to the movement, from Legislators to Administrators to Extraordinary People using their Lived Experience to give back to the community.”

“The workshop sessions were very informative and diverse. I felt I had many opportunities to learn something new.”

“Connecting with new and old colleagues, the overall community feel and how it renews my inspiration for this work. This felt like a retreat from the rat race of work, to get away and just learn, think and connect.”
